Humble beginnings

While spending time with his grandparents, Lennis and Geneva Calvin, on the near westside of Indianapolis, young Jim Calvin was taught to mow grass steeped in the traditional values of hard work and exacting precision. Lennis Calvin would observe Jim’s every pass with the mower, bestowing his exacting skills and standards. Soon enough, Jim’s skill made him the talk of the neighborhood. A business was born.
